Expiry dates under 30 days are highlighted, so it doubles as a renewal watchdog. Queries go directly from your browser to the public rdap.org service, which routes them to the authoritative registry for the TLD — nothing is stored by 0Appz. What is the difference between whois and RDAP? +
RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) is the modern, structured successor of whois. It returns JSON instead of free text, has consistent field names and supports HTTPS. The Whois Lookup - Free Domain Registration Checker uses RDAP through the public rdap.org service, which routes the query to the authoritative registry for the TLD.
Why is the owner name not shown? +
Since GDPR and similar privacy laws, most registries redact personal registrant data. You will usually see the registrar, dates, status codes and nameservers — the legal owner identity is hidden unless the domain uses no privacy protection.
What do the status codes mean? +
EPP status codes such as clientTransferProhibited (locked against transfer), clientHold (not resolving) or autoRenewPeriod describe the domain state at the registry. Search any code on our HTTP status page or the registry glossary to learn more.
